Prior Studies and Reports
Below are some of the major Vermont state government performance and operational
studies and reports conducted over the past thirty years. Each report was performed
using different methods of research and widely differing amounts of time and
resources. We recognize that this compilation is not inclusive of all the published
reports and lesser well known efforts for government efficiency, cost savings
and performance improvement. However, we wanted to make these reports available
for download and review. The Vermont Institute renders no specific judgment
on the success, failure or merit of these reports and efforts. Rather, there
is a benefit for all engaged in making Vermont government operate more effectively
to have an opportunity to review the significant published efforts over the
last thirty years.
